This old gal is sweet and has a rather stoic, look about her.  I attribute it to her cotton floss nose and mouth done on her slightly askew muzzle, which gives her an “I’ve seen a thing or two in my lifetime” kind of look.

Stuffed with straw and measuring 10 ½ inches long from tip of nose to tip of tail and standing 3 ¾ inches tall, she has black glass eyes and her felt ears are a bit tattered but still there.  She is missing about a dime-sized bit of mohair on her back (see photo) but the rest in very good condition.  Probably German in origin, as most of these creatures were, she also possesses a squeaker in her left haunch that no longer works.  She dates to around the late 19th/early 20th C.

This endearing creature is looking for a new home.  She’s looking for a doll quilt or lap to curl up on!
